SUNSYS HES XL is an outdoor energy storage system adapted to on-grid energy storage for both generation and distribution.
It supports dedicated applications such as optimizing photovoltaics and self-consumption, peak shaving, and backup power for commercial and industrial buildings and EV charging infrastructures.
The solution is also ideal for off-grid installations, providing an energy reserve in the event of an electrical blackout and energizing non-electrified areas in place of generators. Furthermore, in dual on-grid mode with “island” mode, the resilience of the connected smart grid increases.

High safety standards
SUNSYS HES XL system has been designed using the best conversion and battery technologies to deliver a winning formula. The B-Cab (battery storage cabinet) comprises stable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry; moreover,
punctual thermal management guarantees safety thanks to liquid cooling and a fire protection system. It has passed the large-scale fire test UL 9450A.
The complete system complies with UL9540, the latest and most stringent safety standard for Energy Storage Systems in Canada and the USA.
The SUNSYS HES XL system is based on 2 standard cabinets – C-Cab, composed of a converter, an isolation transformer, and a DC combiner, and B-Cab – that can be combined.
The different systems with 500 kVA and 4 to 8 battery racks can then be installed in parallel to create multi-MegaWatt installations.
Fast and safe installation
SUNSYS HES XL is supplied with all internal energy modules pre-assembled to guarantee maximum quality, the optimization of installation time, and ease of transport.
Furthermore, the supply kit always includes the DC, communication, and auxiliary power supply cables kit, headed and made to measure for connecting the B-Cab storage units with the C-Cab conversion and control units.
Reduced maintenance with HVAC replaced by air filters that the customer can easily maintain.
Seamless service during maintenance as one battery rack can be disconnected for module replacement keeping the others operational.
