North American Presence

Socomec Group opened its first United States subsidiary in 2009, Socomec Inc., as an initial step to bring globally proven, legacy solutions of power switching, power monitoring, and power conversion to the North American market.

To enhance its local product offering, Socomec Group strategically extended its UL and CSA portfolio by acquiring North American-based manufacturing centers of excellence, formerly known as Boltswitch, Continental Control Systems, and Powersmiths.

These acquisitions have played a pivotal role in building our local presence, allowing Socomec North America to offer our partners and customers a wide range of UL and CSA-listed solutions.

Socomec is proud to have innovative capabilities that enable us to adapt our products to the many emerging markets in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, such as our most recent business line, Energy Storage, which we introduced in 2020, further enhancing our regional offer.

We continue to invest in local resources, new manufacturing capabilities, and expand our Expert Services, the Socomec-led field services associated with all of our business lines.

Now, as Socomec NAM, we look forward to continuing to serve the North American market and catering to the evolving needs and emerging trends with the local capabilities we continue to invest in, complemented by the global resources and expertise of the group.
