Explore the universe of ACCUline current transformers, a range inspired by the increasing demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Socomec, a specialist in safety switching, source switching, measurement and energy conversion, is proud to present its new range of low-voltage current transformers and sensors: ACCUline

Innovation based on 30 years of expertise

For more than three decades, Socomec has been innovating in the field of electrical measurement solutions with products such as the DIRIS A-40 datalogger. The ACCUline range meets the growing demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and energy utilities for accurate, high-performance measurement solutions. Enriching Socomec's Power Switching & Monitoring segment, this range is the result of several years of expertise, reinforced by the creation of three centers of excellence. These centers focus on current transformers and their electromagnetic induction technology, Rogowski sensors, and the strict standards of the North American energy efficiency market, including UL certification.

"The main goal of our Sensor centers of excellence is to pool the skills of different Group entities to offer our customers innovative solutions that are perfectly tailored to their needs. This will also stimulate innovation and creativity, and speed up development by maximizing synergies", says Jean-Eudes Baly, Marketing Director of the Power Switching & Monitoring segment at Socomec.

The main role of current transformers

Current transformers (CTs) are important for measuring electrical current in modern systems. They make it easy to transform a current into a value that can be measured by relays and measuring devices, while playing a crucial role in protecting power networks and managing energy. Here are the main types of CTs and their roles:

  • Measuring current transformers: measure the load current in an electrical circuit.
  • Billing current transformers: used for billing applications requiring high accuracy.
  • Protection current transformers: in addition to their current metering and measurement function, they detect faults in the event of a short-circuit or overload in the networks. Combined with a relay, they isolate the fault to protect the installation from possible damage.
  • Differential current transformers: They check the vector sum of currents to detect irregularities, ensuring effective monitoring and protection.

Infinite customization capacities

The range offers customized current transformers, perfectly suited to customers' technical requirements. From the rated value of the primary or secondary current to the number of windings, all the technical specifications are fully customizable.

Thanks to all configurations capacities, companies can avoid unnecessary expenditure.

"By customizing only those options that add value, we can avoid unnecessary standard options. This allows you to keep what is really useful and economical", says Loïc Reitter, Operational Marketing Product at Socomec.

Compactness and performance

Thanks to the use of cutting-edge materials and the latest technologies, ACCUline offers compact solutions without compromizing on performance, ideal for restricted environments.

Versatility

The ACCUline range has been developed to offer a complete solution to meet all your requirements, whether for measurement, metering, billing, overload/short-circuit or differential protection. What's more, this extensive range can be adapted to any project, whether for new or existing applications.

A promising future for the Sensor business

Socomec's Sensor centers of excellence have three main areas of development in mind.

"Firstly, we aim to further improve the performance of our current products, both in terms of measurement accuracy and immunity. Secondly, we plan to create new ranges with greater functional integration, with the aim of simplifying the integration of sensors into our customers' systems. Finally, we are going to expand our range of options to offer even finer adaptation to the specific needs of each customer", confirms Jean-Eudes Baly.
