Function
AFR‑1 protection relays are designed to provide arc energy reduction in accordance with NEC® Article 240.67 and Article 240.87 for systems rated 1200 A and above.
These relays operate with bolted‑pressure contact switches, air circuit breakers, or fusible disconnect switches equipped with a shunt‑trip operator.
The AFR‑1 detects arc flash events using Rogowski coil arc flash sensors, enabling high‑speed tripping to reduce incident energy.
